Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas. It lies on the island of New Providence, with neighboring Paradise Island accessible via Nassau Harbor bridges. When looking for something to do there, check out Atlantis Paradise Island’s casino.

Highbourne Cay is known worldwide as the gateway to the ultimate ephemeral islands – The Exuma Cays. Highbourne Cay is great for beach, Diving Fishing & Snorkeling.

Day 2:

After breakfast, move to Shroud Cay. This archipelago of cays and rocks surrounds a shallow tidal mangrove salt marsh that creates a unique nursery for conch, lobster, sea turtles, birds, and a myriad of colorful fish. We will spend the day exploring the mangroves via tender, float down the lazy river and climb the nearby hill, which offers a view of the whole island and anchorage. This is a great spot for water toys and exploring beaches.

Day 3:

After a meal, we’ll move to a picturesque bay called Warderick Wells Cay. After lunch, we’ll take the tender ashore and do a walk/hike around the national park. Along the way, we will take a look at the skeleton of a 52’ sperm whale. This whale skeleton is on the far end of the beach. You can snorkel the coral gardens ( if the tide is right), and relax on the sand bar- with a Captain’s Cocktail at low tide.

Day 4:

After a cup of joe, we’ll move to Big Majors to visit the swimming pigs. Big Major Cay is uninhabited and the pigs are not native to the island. Some say they were left by a group of sailors, who planned to come back and cook them. Or that the pigs swam over from a shipwreck nearby. Afterward, we can take the tender to “Thunder ball grotto” to snorkel the caves after lunch. If desired, we can then visit Staniel Cay Marina, where we can have lunch or dinner ashore either at Staniel Cay or Fowl Cay.

Day 5:

We will start the day moving to Cambridge Cay. In the afternoon, we will travel in the tender to the natural aquarium next to Johnny Depp’s island, Little Hell’s Pond Cay, where we will snorkel with the fish as well as explore the plane wreck. We can do a sunset cruise to Compass Cay and explore the Marina as well as visit the nurse sharks. The nurse sharks are – for the most part – harmless to swimmers and snorkelers. Nurse sharks may have the ominous dorsal fin of a predator but they are much more easygoing than your average shark.

Day 6:

After breakfast, we will depart Cambridge and head to Normans Cay. Normans Cay used to be part of the Medellin Cartel smuggling operation, and the plane wreck can be explored and snorkeled. At sunset, we will anchor near Allans Cay.

Day 7:

Once done with breakfast, you can feed the resident iguanas that inhabit the island. Their technical name is the Northern Bahamian Rock Iguanas. but these animals aren’t found anywhere else in the world and explore the anchorage North of Highbourne, where lots of sand dollars can be found. Depending on flight times, we can either remain at Allans Cay for the evening or move to Rose Island also known as Paradise Island, for the night. At Paradise Islands, you have the chance to swim with the Green Turtles. The carapace of the Green Turtle is heart-shaped This is a great snorkeling spot where you can also see stingrays, colorful fish, and amazing white sand beaches.
