ITINERARY
Arrive in Nassau, and have lunch. Depending on arrival time, leave for Highbourne Cay.
After breakfast, move to Shroud Cay. We will spend the day exploring the mangroves via tender, float down the lazy river and climb the nearby hill, which offers a view of the whole island and anchorage. This is a great spot for watersports and exploring beaches.
After a meal, we’ll move to a picturesque bay called Waderick Wells. After lunch, we’ll take the tender ashore and do a walk/hike around the national park. Along the way, we will take a look at the whale skeleton on the far end of the beach, snorkel the coral gardens ( if the tide is right), and relax on the sand bar- with a Captain’s Cocktail at low tide..
After a cup of joe, we’ll move to Big Majors, visit the swimming pigs and take the tender to “Thunder ball grotto” to snorkel the caves after lunch. If desired, we can then visit Staniel Cay Marina, where we can have lunch or dinner ashore either at Staniel Cay or Fowl Cay.
We will start the day moving to Cambridge Cay. In the afternoon, we will travel in the tender to the natural aquarium next to Johnny Depp’s island, where we will snorkel with the fish as well as explore the plane wreck. We can do a sunset cruise to Compass Cay and explore the Marina as well as visit the nurse sharks.
After breakfast, we will depart Cambridge and head to Normans Cay. Normans Cay used to be part of the Medellin Cartels smuggling operation, and Carlos Lehder’s plane wreck can be explored and snorkeled. At sunset, we will anchor near Allens Cay.
Once done with breakfast, you can feed the resident iguanas that inhabit the island and explore the anchorage North of Highbourne, where lots of sand dollars can be found. Depending on flight times, we can either remain at Allens Cay for the evening or move to Rose Island for the night, where there are sea turtles, some great snorkeling spots, and amazing beaches.
It’s a bite for breakfast,
then off to catch your flight home.

Crewed Yacht Charters vs Cruiseline
Crewed Yacht Charters vs Cruiseline
Crewed yacht charter vacations offer a unique and unparalleled experience that sets them apart from cruise lines in various ways.
Here are several reasons why crewed yacht charters can be considered superior to cruise lines:
1. Exclusivity and Privacy: Crewed yacht charters provide complete exclusivity and privacy. Unlike cruise ships that accommodate thousands of passengers, a yacht charter is reserved solely for you and your chosen companions. This means you have the entire vessel at your disposal, ensuring an intimate and personalized experience without the crowds.
2. Personalized Itinerary: On a crewed yacht charter, you have the flexibility to create a personalized itinerary. The captain and crew work closely with you to design a journey that caters to your interests and desires. You can explore hidden coves, secluded beaches, and off-the-beaten-path destinations that larger cruise ships cannot access.
3. Customized Service: The crew on a luxury yacht is wholly dedicated to your group, providing unmatched personalized service. From the onboard chef preparing gourmet meals tailored to your preferences to a crew that anticipates your needs and wishes, the level of attention and care is unparalleled.
4. Privacy in Ports: Yachts can often dock at smaller and less crowded ports that are inaccessible to massive cruise ships. This allows you to enjoy a more authentic and relaxed experience when exploring coastal towns and local attractions.
5. Intimate Experience with Nature: Yacht charters bring you closer to nature and the sea. You can immerse yourself in the serene environment, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, and even have the opportunity to witness marine life up close while snorkeling or engaging in water sports.
6. Tailored Activities: Unlike cruise lines that offer standardized shore excursions, crewed yacht charters can organize activities and experiences based on your preferences. Whether you want to engage in adventurous water sports, visit cultural landmarks, or simply relax on secluded beaches, the crew will cater to your desires.
7. Culinary Excellence: Private chef with customized menus to your taste. Yacht charter chefs are renowned for their culinary expertise, creating personalized menus using the freshest ingredients. Enjoy gourmet dining experiences that surpass the mass-produced meals on cruise ships.
8. Water Sports and Activities: Yacht charters typically come equipped with an array of water sports equipment, including snorkeling gear, kayaks, paddleboards, and more. You can engage in these activities in crystal-clear waters without the crowds often found during cruise line excursions.
9. Freedom and Spontaneity: Yacht charters allow you to be spontaneous and adjust your itinerary as you go. If you stumble upon a captivating spot, you have the flexibility to linger longer or change course to explore new treasures.
10. Stress-Free Embarkation and Disembarkation: Boarding and disembarking a yacht are seamless processes compared to the lengthy procedures involved in boarding and leaving a large cruise ship.
11. All-Inclusive Experience: Many crewed yacht charters offer all-inclusive packages, encompassing meals, beverages, and water sports activities. While cruise lines may provide various packages, these often come with additional costs for certain amenities and activities.
12. Perfect for Small Groups and Couples: Crewed yacht charters are ideal for small groups, families, and couples looking to escape the crowds and enjoy quality time together in a private and intimate setting.
Crewed yacht charter vacations provide a level of luxury, personalization, and exclusivity that sets them apart from traditional cruise line vacations. If you value privacy, tailor-made experiences, and the opportunity to explore lesser-known destinations at your own pace, a crewed yacht charter is undoubtedly the superior choice. The intimacy, customized service, and freedom to design your own adventure create a truly unforgettable and exclusive vacation experience on the open seas.
Luxury Crewed Yacht Charter: A Personalized Journey
Pros:
- Exclusivity and Privacy: One of the most significant advantages of a luxury crewed yacht charter is the exclusivity it offers. You and your group will have the entire yacht to yourselves, ensuring complete privacy and a tailor-made experience.
- Personalized Itinerary: With a yacht charter, you have the freedom to create a personalized itinerary based on your preferences and interests. The captain and crew are at your service, ready to take you to remote islands, hidden coves, and picturesque destinations that are often inaccessible to larger cruise ships.
- Bespoke Service: The crew on a luxury yacht charter is dedicated solely to your group. From a private chef preparing gourmet meals to personalized excursions and activities, the crew goes above and beyond to fulfill your every wish.
- Flexibility and Spontaneity: Unlike cruise line vacations, yacht charters allow for spontaneity and flexibility. You can change your plans on a whim, linger longer in a captivating location, or venture off the beaten path to explore uncharted waters.
- Luxurious Amenities: Yachts are equipped with opulent amenities, including spacious cabins, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, and water sports equipment. You can indulge in lavish comforts while surrounded by breathtaking ocean views.
Cons:
- Higher Cost: Luxury crewed yacht charters typically come with a higher price tag compared to cruise line vacations. However, considering the exclusivity and personalized service, the cost can be justified for those seeking an extraordinary and intimate experience.
- Limited Onboard Facilities: While luxury yachts offer lavish amenities, they may not match the extensive facilities available on large cruise ships. Yacht charters are best suited for those who prioritize personal attention and a close-knit experience over an abundance of onboard activities.
- Smaller Group Size: Yachts have limited space, accommodating smaller groups of travelers. If you prefer the company of a larger community and an array of fellow passengers, a cruise line vacation might be more appealing.
Cruise Line Vacation: A Voyage of Variety
Pros:
- Affordability: Cruise line vacations often provide excellent value for money, as the overall cost includes accommodation, meals, and various onboard activities.
- Extensive Facilities and Entertainment: Cruise ships are floating cities, offering an impressive array of facilities and entertainment options. From multiple restaurants and bars to theaters, casinos, and water parks, there’s never a dull moment on a cruise.
- Ease of Planning: Booking a cruise is relatively straightforward, with many options available for various destinations and departure dates. The comprehensive packages make planning and budgeting hassle-free.
- Family-Friendly: Cruise lines are designed to cater to travelers of all ages, making them an excellent choice for families with children. Kids’ clubs, family-friendly dining options, and child-oriented activities ensure everyone has a fantastic time.
- Visiting Multiple Destinations: On a cruise, you have the opportunity to visit several ports and destinations in one trip, allowing you to experience diverse cultures and landscapes within a single vacation.
Cons:
- Crowds and Queues: Cruise ships can host thousands of passengers, leading to crowded areas and sometimes long queues for popular activities and facilities.
- Fixed Itineraries: Cruise line vacations follow predetermined itineraries, leaving limited room for spontaneity or the ability to explore off-the-beaten-path locations.
- Lack of Privacy: With a large number of passengers on board, privacy can be hard to come by, and finding a quiet spot for relaxation might be a challenge.
- Impersonal Service: While cruise ship crew members are undoubtedly skilled and hospitable, the personalized attention available on luxury yacht charters might not be as pronounced on a large cruise liner.
- Port Time Constraints: The time spent at each port is often limited, allowing for only a taste of each destination. If you prefer a more immersive experience at each stop, a yacht charter may be more suitable.
In conclusion, both luxury crewed yacht charters and cruise line vacations offer unforgettable journeys at sea, each catering to different preferences and expectations.
A luxury crewed yacht charter promises exclusivity, personalized service, and the freedom to craft your own itinerary.
The choice ultimately depends on what you prioritize in your vacation. If you seek an intimate, tailor-made experience with a focus on privacy and personalized attention, a luxury crewed yacht charter is the way to go. However, if you prefer a more diverse range of onboard activities, the convenience of fixed itineraries, and the chance to explore various ports in one trip, a cruise line vacation will likely be more to your liking.

Why consider a yacht charter under $30000
Why should you consider a yacht charter under $30,000?
To start with, yacht charters under $30,000 are more like a BnB experience.
Think cozy.
Cozy dining area, cozy cabins, cozy friends. Under $30,000, yachts are smaller in size but offer a level of service where you really get to know your crew, and they become more like friends for life. These are often decorated with the comfortability of the “mom and pop” establishments. Your time with the crew is more personal with storytelling and sharing meals together.
Yacht charters under $30,000 are a great service but don’t go in with the expectation of Michelin star meals, top-shelf liquor, or large roomy sleeping arrangements. You will be less catered to or less maintained- You must go into this with lower expectations and go with that flow feeling as they are not going to clean and fold your laundry every day; it’s more that of a BnB setup, a homey feel.
The quality of towels and sheets is something you might consider important. A higher-end yacht will invest so that you have the best of the best; these style yachts will furnish the yacht with items that are useful and practical. These yachts are nice, but will not be the latest model but older yachts that have had refits over time. Other yachts might consider what time you prefer to eat meals so they can be better in tune with a guest’s needs, whereas when you stay at a BnB, dinner may be served at a set time, whether that’s when you eat or not.
What is the starting price for a sailing catamaran yacht charter?
Just the sound of the word yacht charter conjures up images of the rich and famous. Most people are surprised that there are private yachts available for the average traveler. Though prices have increased everywhere, these costs are all-inclusive in the US and the British Virgin Islands, and some in the Bahamas.
So let’s start on the lower end, where a week on a luxury catamaran in the BVI with all meals, beverages, fuel, and amenities, including an open bar, starts at around $3,125 per person. Take a look at the 51′ sailing catamaran Gambit as an example of this. That is considerably less than what most people expect to pay and competes with the cost of a high-end cruise ship or luxury shoreside resort.
If you are a Ritz Carleton or Four Seasons kind of traveler, then you’d feel most comfortable in a 61’ sailing catamaran like Krazy Kat that charters for $5,300 pp/week all-inclusive. Or wide open space, 80′ Seaclusion that charters for $10,600 pp/week all-inclusive.
Motor yachts:
Motor yachts tend to be more expensive than sailing catamarans for two reasons – they are typically more expensive to buy, and the size is typically bigger. Fuel adds to the charter expenses as well. A 64′ power cat like Jans Felion that charters for $5,000 pp/week all-inclusive in the BVI. In the Bahamas, motor yachts start closer to $6,000/pp/week plus expenses and if you are lucky to snatch it up, all-inclusive.
Superyachts:
Superyachts – yachts 90’ or larger- can cost from $12,000/pp/week to $50,000/pp/wk plus expenses. Again, the rate varies widely according to the newness of the yacht, the technology, the artwork and design, and the equipment inventory. We have superyachts for all budgets!
*These are examples. Yacht prices and options are subject to change without notice. Rates and all yacht information provided is presented in good faith and believed to be correct. Why Consider a $30000 or more yacht charter
Why should you consider a $30,000 or more yacht charter?
Luxury boat rental and charter rates increase with a higher quality of service and features. Most often, the more spacious, luxurious, and prestigious the yacht is, the higher the price. Age of the yacht, size, number of decks, date of recent refit, the experience of the crew and chef, and onboard toy and amenity inventory. And sometimes, how motivated the owners are to have charters. Other factors influencing the charter rate are the type of yacht: is it a motor yacht, a sailing multihull, or a power catamaran.
Things to consider for your yacht rental
Cuisine – are you a foodie?
Chefs aboard these vessels often go through culinary training to give you the ‘next level experience’ in fine dining. They customize menus for each yacht charter to give you an amazing culinary experience. Many offer a wide variety of cuisines, including American, Italian, Japanese, French, and Chinese, as well as local fare.
Space- how much space do you prefer in your cabin or salon?
As the yacht increases in size, the space offers more comfortable and aesthetic lounging areas and bedrooms. The amount of space you prefer in your cabin or salon is important to consider when choosing a luxury yacht charter.
The Bahamas is a coral-based archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. Its 700-plus islands and cays range from uninhabited to packed with resorts. The northernmost, Grand Bahama, and Paradise Island, home to many large-scale hotels, are among the best known. Scuba diving and snorkeling sites include the massive Andros Barrier Reef, Thunderball Grotto (used in James Bond films) and the black-coral gardens off Bimini. Water Toys- do you want sea doos or a water slide?
These yachts can often include a hot tub onboard and a masseuse in some cases. Yacht charters provide an opportunity to enjoy all the amenities that a five-star hotel would have without the hassle of having to leave the yacht. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, a yacht charter may be just the thing.
Higher-end wine and liquor options-
Although this can be accommodated at any yacht price point, it will be for an extra fee to you; most often, these yachts will have higher-end alcohol options.
As the price increases, the yacht is substantially larger and often has crews of three to five or more, which is not only very expensive but a serious time commitment.
We can break the groups into three sub-groups: luxury, super-luxury, and unique experiences.
That’s why the best (and time-saving) way to find the right yacht for your budget, personality, and style is to work with a charter broker.
Friends hands toasting ” Sex on the Beach ” fancy drinks – Young people having fun together drinking cocktails at happy hour with fruit snacks buffet – Summer party time concept on bright vivid filter What can be included in a luxury yacht rental price?
The base price of a yacht charter given is usually the weekly rate, excluding expenses and tax, unless all-inclusive. It covers 60% to 80% of the final price and refers to the cost of the yacht itself, its insurance, all its equipment and toys, the crew salary, and services during the whole charter duration.
Do destinations affect yacht charter fees?
A yacht charter price depends as well on the destination and is subject to supply and demand.
In regions offering large crewed yacht charter fleets like the British Virgin Islands, the Mediterranean, and the Bahamas, luxury yacht charter costs are more attractive due to higher competition.
Taxes and VAT also need to be applied to the yacht charter costs depending on chartering destination.
In the Bahamas and the Med, chartering a commercial vessel is an economic activity and is subject to VAT.
The VAT rate is in addition to the charter fee. It is due in the country where the charter starts. The cost of VAT will fluctuate depending on where you charter.
Consider in your yacht charter expenses: Crew gratuity
During a crewed boat rental, your crew is almost 24/7 at your service to deliver the best possible experience. It is customary to leave them a tip at the end of your charter to thank them for their service.
Tipping on a yacht charter depends on the destination. In the Mediterranean, you can tip 10-15% of your weekly charter fee, excluding expenses and taxes, while in the Caribbean, a 15-20% tip is more common, although there has been some debate as to the proper Caribbean tip amount. You should always leave a tip scaled up or down to how you feel your level of service received was.
You can hand your tip in cash to your captain in an envelope on the last day of your charter. It will be up to the captain to split the tip among the different crew members. However, these days, with many ways to send a payment, crews often accept Venmo, Paypal, and checks. If you do not want to lug around cash, you can also send your crew tip in advance with your final payment to your broker, who will ensure it is delivered once you disembark.
